Accessibility Statement

Last updated October 17, 2026

GetGroceryPOS is built for store owners and staff who read in many languages, on phones, tablets and old counter computers. Making the website easy for everyone to use, including people with disabilities, is part of that job. This statement covers getgrocerypos.com, operated by SOHOON Technologies.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These guidelines cover things like color contrast, keyboard use, clear structure, text alternatives for images and content that works when zoomed.

We check pages with automated tools and by hand, including keyboard-only use and screen reader spot checks, at phone, tablet and desktop sizes, in light and dark themes and in every color palette.

Features that help

Display and accessibility settings

Open the Menu and go to Display and accessibility to:

  • Make text larger (two steps above normal)
  • Turn on high contrast, which also hides decorative motion and particles
  • Reduce motion, which stops animations and makes the sliding sections stack normally
  • Highlight every link
  • Add wider letter and word spacing

Your choices are remembered in your browser on this device.

Keyboard and focus

  • A Skip to content link is the first thing you reach with the Tab key.
  • Every link, button and form field can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
  • Press / to open search. Use the arrow keys to move through results.
  • Every menu, search panel, pop-up and notice has a visible Close button at least 44 by 44 pixels. On a computer, the Escape key also closes it. On a phone, the Back button closes the menu and search.
  • When a menu or panel closes, focus goes back to the button that opened it.

Structure and language

  • Each page has one main heading and a logical heading order, so screen readers can jump between sections.
  • Images that carry meaning have text descriptions. Decorative illustrations are hidden from screen readers.
  • Each page declares its language. Our Arabic and Urdu pages use a true right-to-left layout, not just right-aligned text.
  • Prices are shown as text, never only as images.

Motion and color

  • We respect your device’s “reduce motion” setting automatically.
  • Information is never shown by color alone; status and choices also use labels or icons.
  • Text and buttons are checked for contrast in light and dark themes and in every palette we offer.

Forms

  • Every field has a visible label. Errors are shown next to the field in words, not only in red.
  • Inputs use a text size that stops phones from zooming unexpectedly.

Known limitations

We know about these and are working on them:

  • Interactive scale demo. The 3D countertop scale can be turned by dragging. Rotate buttons and item buttons do the same job for keyboard and screen reader users, and the results are announced as text, but the 3D drawing itself is decorative.
  • Sideways sections. On larger screens some sections move sideways as you scroll. With reduced motion turned on, or on phones, they become normal swipeable or stacked lists. Previous and Next buttons are always available.
  • Chinese, Korean and other scripts on English pages. A few examples in other scripts depend on fonts installed on your device and may look different on older systems.
  • Third-party content. Spam protection on forms is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile. It usually runs invisibly; if it shows a challenge, its accessibility is controlled by Cloudflare.
  • Documents from other sites. Some government documents we link to, such as PDF rules, are not under our control.

The GetGroceryPOS software

This statement is about the website. The point-of-sale software has its own accessibility work in progress, including per-user interface languages and larger touch targets for counter use. If an accessibility need affects how your staff can use the register, tell us on your demo and we will show you the options.
