- Stock that drops when the register sells
- Categories from your departments
- Names in the languages you typed them in
- A link to share on WhatsApp, Facebook and your Google profile

When to book a call instead.
- Your catalogue is over 5,000 items or in more than one file
- You use label scales at the deli or meat counter
- You accept SNAP/EBT and want to test a split basket before benefit day
- You want Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean or Urdu staff screens set up
- You run more than one store
Setup questions, answered.
8 questions on the shelf
How long does it take to set up a grocery POS?
Most stores are ringing sales the same day. Sign-up, business details and registers take about 20 minutes; products take 20 to 90 minutes with a clean spreadsheet. A messy catalogue takes longer, and we help on a call for free.
Do I need a technician to install it?
No. GetGroceryPOS is hosted for you and runs in a browser. You connect a receipt printer and a scanner like any other USB or network device.
Can I set it up in Spanish, Arabic or Urdu?
Yes. Set your own screen language in your profile; set each cashier’s too. The setup help center is in English today; demos and onboarding calls are available in our site languages.
When is my online store created?
As soon as you add products. It is built from your catalogue and updates when your prices and stock change. See online store.
What do I need before I start?
A product list (an export from your old POS or a supplier list is fine), your tax rates, staff names, and if you use label scales, a sample label. That’s it.
What if I get stuck?
Use the help center, or book a call. Moving your catalogue from your old POS is free.
What happens when the trial ends?
After 14 days, pick a plan to keep selling. If you don’t, the account pauses; your data stays for 30 days so you can come back.
Can I set up SNAP/EBT during the trial?
You can flag SNAP-eligible items during the trial. Taking EBT payments needs your store’s FNS authorization and your certified EBT processor; see SNAP/EBT.
