Walk the store map. Each department is a feature your register needs on a busy Saturday, and each one has its own page with the details, the setup and the honest limits.

8 questions on the shelf

  1. What features does a grocery POS need?

At minimum: weighed items and scale labels, PLU lookup, SNAP/EBT for US stores, a large catalogue you can import, case and unit pricing, purchase orders and receiving, and reports by department. Ethnic markets also need screens and receipts in their staff’s and customers’ languages.

  2. Are all features on every plan?

The seven grocery features on this page are on every plan except purchase orders and case/unit conversion, which start on Market. See pricing.

  3. Is there a limit on products or staff?

No product or staff-login limit on any plan. Plans differ by included registers.

  4. Can I add modules later?

Yes. Accounting and HR add-on modules are available on request, and you can move between plans any month.

  5. Does it work on tablets?

Yes. It runs in a modern browser on a PC, touchscreen terminal, Android tablet or iPad. See the hardware guide.

  6. Does it work offline?

GetGroceryPOS is hosted, so registers need an internet connection. Keep a backup connection (such as a phone hotspot) for outages; ask on your demo about your setup.

  7. How is it different from the other editions?

Every edition shares the same core software; this one is set up and explained for grocery counters. SmartPOSHub compares all editions.

  8. Can I see it working with my own products?

Yes. Book a demo and send a sample of your product list; we load it before the call.
