The website getgrocerypos.com is operated by SOHOON Technologies under the GetGroceryPOS brand. This page explains how to read the information on it.
General information, not professional advice
Our guides, blog posts, help articles, calculators and answers to questions are written to help store owners understand their options. They are general information. They are not legal, tax, accounting, financial or regulatory advice for your specific situation.
Before you make a decision that has legal or tax consequences, such as applying to accept SNAP, setting tax rates, certifying a scale or choosing a payment processor, check with the official authority or a qualified professional where you trade.
SNAP, EBT and other government rules
We write about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), EBT, state food restriction waivers and staple food stocking standards because they matter to grocers. Keep in mind:
- SNAP is a United States program. It does not apply in the UAE or Pakistan.
- GetGroceryPOS works with your certified EBT processor. It does not process EBT itself, and it is not an authorization to accept SNAP. Your store needs its own authorization from USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service.
- Rules change. State waivers, court decisions and federal rules in 2026 have changed dates more than once. Facts on this site were checked on October 17, 2026, unless a page shows a different date. Always confirm with USDA FNS and your state agency before acting.
Tax, currency and country information
Tax rates, VAT, sales tax, invoice and receipt rules differ by country, state and city, and they change. Our country pages explain how the software handles currencies, tax rates and tax groups. They do not tell you which rate applies to your products. Your tax adviser or tax authority does.
Scales and weights
Information about label scales, price-embedded barcodes and legal-for-trade requirements is general. The certification and inspection of scales used for trade is controlled by weights-and-measures authorities where you operate, and is your responsibility.
Sample reviews
Reviews and quotes marked “Sample” were written by us to show what kind of feedback store owners give and how it will look on the page. They are not from real customers, and the names, store types and places are illustrative. When real stores give us reviews with their permission, we will replace the samples and label real reviews clearly.
We do not show star ratings, customer counts or awards that we cannot back up.
Competitor information and prices
Our comparison pages describe other point-of-sale products fairly, using information those companies publish. Competitor prices are list prices as published on the date we checked them (shown on each page), usually before processing fees, hardware and taxes. Their prices and features can change at any time. Check their current websites before deciding.
We have tried to be accurate. If you think something we say about another product is wrong, tell us through our Contact page and we will review it promptly.
Trademarks
GetGroceryPOS and its logo belong to us. Other names mentioned on this site, such as Square, Clover, Lightspeed, Shopify, HighLevel, Visa, Apple Pay, Google Pay, JazzCash, Easypaisa and the names of hardware makers, are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to describe compatibility or comparisons. Their use does not mean those companies endorse us or that we are partners, unless we say so.
Integrations and hardware
When we say the software “works with” a type of device or service, we mean it has been designed to work with it in the way described. Specific models, firmware and processor setups vary. We check your exact hardware and processor on your demo. Some integrations are listed as planned or available on request; ask before you rely on them.
Calculators and estimates
The savings calculator and similar tools give estimates based on the numbers you type and our published prices. Your real costs depend on your contracts, taxes, processing fees and how you run your store.
