Fit questions, answered.

8 questions on the shelf

  1. Which POS fits an ethnic market?

One that handles your counters (scales, PLUs, case packs), your languages (staff screens and receipts), and your payments (EBT in the US, wallets in Pakistan, VAT-inclusive pricing in the UAE). GetGroceryPOS covers all three on every plan.

  2. Is GetGroceryPOS only for ethnic markets?

No. Any independent grocery can use it. We focus on ethnic markets because their needs are the ones big POS brands skip.

  3. My store is small. Is this too much?

The Corner plan is one register with every grocery feature; you can ignore what you don’t need.

  4. Do you understand halal requirements?

The software doesn’t certify halal; it lets you name, categorise and report halal products the way you sell them, and prints Arabic names.

  5. Can you support a market that sells hot food too?

Yes. Hot food is sold like any product; mark it not SNAP-eligible and give it the right tax group.

  6. Which languages can staff use?

English, Spanish and Arabic are built in; Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Urdu are set up for you. See language support.

  7. Can one store mix several of these markets?

Yes, and many do: a Latin and Asian grocery side by side, or a halal grocer with a big Hispanic customer base. Product names in two languages and per-cashier screen languages cover both.

  8. Do you only serve the US?

No. We also serve groceries in the UAE and Pakistan with local prices and WhatsApp support. See countries.
