Terms of Service

Last updated October 17, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SOHOON Technologies (“we”, “us”), the operator of the GetGroceryPOS brand. They cover the website getgrocerypos.com and the hosted GetGroceryPOS point-of-sale software and related services (together, the “Service”).

If you sign up on behalf of a store or a company, you confirm that you can accept these Terms for it, and “you” means that business.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What GetGroceryPOS is

GetGroceryPOS is point-of-sale software for grocery stores and ethnic markets. We host it for you, so you use it in a web browser on your own computer, tablet or touch terminal. It includes, depending on your plan, sales and checkout, products and stock, label-scale barcodes, PLU codes, units and case pricing, purchase orders, reports, staff accounts and an online store generated from your catalogue.

We also offer a managed grocery website and a bundle that combines the POS, the managed website and a marketing snapshot for HighLevel. What each plan includes is shown on our Pricing page.

Your account

  • You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for your account and for everything done under it, including by your staff.
  • Keep passwords private. Give each staff member their own login and remove access when someone leaves.
  • Tell us right away if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and use the Service for business purposes.

Free trial

New stores can try the Service free for 14 days. No payment card is needed to start. At the end of the trial you can choose a plan. If you do not, your account is paused and your data is kept for 30 days so you can come back or export it, then it is deleted.

We may limit trials to one per store and may end a trial that is being misused.

Plans, prices and billing

  • Prices for each plan, each country and each billing period are listed on our Pricing page. Plans are priced per store, with a set number of registers included. Extra registers are charged as listed.
  • You can pay monthly or annually. Annual billing is discounted as shown on the Pricing page.
  • Prices in the United States are shown before tax; sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. Prices in the United Arab Emirates include 5% VAT. Prices in Pakistan are shown plus applicable sales tax.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • If we change our prices, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change affects you. The new price applies from your next renewal. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
  • If a payment fails, we will tell you and try again. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, we may pause your account until it is paid. We will not delete your data for non-payment without warning you first.

Payment processing fees are separate. Card payments your customers make in your store go through the payment processor you choose, under your own agreement with them. Their fees are theirs, not ours.

No minimum contract and cancellation

There is no minimum contract. You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full use of the Service until then. Refunds are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Your data

  • You own your data. Everything your store puts into the Service (products, prices, sales, stock, suppliers, staff and customer records) belongs to you.
  • We use it only to run the Service for you: to host it, keep it secure, back it up, provide support you ask for and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
  • Export. You can export your products and other records at any time. After you cancel, you can still export your data for 30 days. After that, we delete it from the live system, and it is removed from backups as they roll over.
  • Personal data of your customers and staff. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to collect it and for telling them how you use it. We process it as your service provider. Our Privacy Policy explains how.

Your responsibilities as a store

The Service is a tool. Running your store legally is your job, and some things only you can do:

  • Licences and permits. You hold whatever business, food, tobacco, alcohol or other licences your city, state or country requires.
  • SNAP/EBT (US only). To accept SNAP benefits, your store needs its own authorization from USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service and an agreement with a certified EBT processor. The Service works with your processor and lets you mark eligible and restricted items, but you are responsible for keeping those item settings correct, including state restrictions on items such as soft drinks or candy.
  • Scales and weights. Scales used to sell goods by weight must meet weights-and-measures rules where you trade (in the US, for example, legal-for-trade devices inspected under state rules). You are responsible for your scales, their certification, tare settings and label formats.
  • Tax. You are responsible for setting the right tax rates and tax groups for your products and for filing and paying your taxes. We provide the tools; we do not give tax advice.
  • Prices and labels. You are responsible for the prices you charge and for shelf labels, unit pricing and receipts meeting local rules.
  • Payment processors. Your agreements with card and EBT processors are between you and them.
  • Your equipment and internet. You provide working computers, tablets, printers, scanners, scales and internet access. Our Hardware guide explains what works.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything illegal, or to sell goods you are not allowed to sell
  • Upload malware, or try to break, overload or get around the security of the Service
  • Access another store’s data or try to
  • Resell, rent or sub-license the Service unless you are an approved partner under a separate agreement
  • Copy, reverse engineer or build a competing product from the Service, except where the law allows it
  • Use the Service to send spam or unlawful messages to your customers
  • Upload content that infringes someone else’s rights

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules or puts other stores at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

Availability, support and backups

We work to keep the Service available and fast, but we do not promise a specific uptime percentage, and there may be planned maintenance or unexpected outages. We will try to schedule maintenance outside busy store hours and post notice where we can.

We back up store data regularly and protect it as described on our Security and data page. Backups are a safety net, not a guarantee: please export your important records from time to time.

Support is available during the hours shown on our Contact page, by the channels listed there.

Third-party services

The Service can work with third-party services such as payment processors, EBT processors, HighLevel, hardware drivers and other tools. Those services have their own terms and prices, and we are not responsible for them. If a third party changes or stops its service, some features may change.

The managed website and the bundle

If you buy the managed grocery website or the Store Bundle:

  • We design and maintain the website using the content you give us. You confirm you have the right to use that content, including photos and logos.
  • The domain name stays in your name if you buy it yourself; if we register it for you, we will transfer it to you on request.
  • The HighLevel marketing snapshot is installed into your own HighLevel account. HighLevel’s subscription is billed by HighLevel under its own terms.
  • Setup fees and refunds follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Our intellectual property

The Service, the website, our designs, text, illustrations and the GetGroceryPOS name and logo belong to us or our licensors. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business while your subscription is active. It does not give you ownership of the software.

If you send us suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.

Disclaimers

Apart from what these Terms say, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not make other promises, such as that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for every purpose. Guides, articles and calculators on our website are general information, not legal, tax or financial advice. See our Disclaimer.

Some laws do not allow these disclaimers. If they apply to you, the disclaimers apply only as far as the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data, even if we were told they were possible.
  • Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or, where applicable, for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a third party makes a claim against us because of how you used the Service in breach of these Terms or the law, for example selling restricted goods or misusing your customers’ data.

Ending the agreement

You can end this agreement by cancelling your subscription. We can end it or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, do not pay, or if we stop offering the Service. If we stop offering the Service for reasons that are not your fault, we will give you at least 60 days’ notice and refund any prepaid amount for the time after the end date.

When the agreement ends, your right to use the Service stops, and the data export period described above applies.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, by email or inside the Service. If you keep using the Service after the change, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, unless the law of your country requires otherwise. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to solve the problem directly. If you are a business in the UAE or Pakistan, any mandatory local laws that protect you still apply.
